6 pork chops, at least 1-inch thick
2 to 4 slices bacon, diced
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
